When I started Second Act Affiliate, the advice I kept hearing was to start a Facebook page for it.
I didn't.

A new page starts at zero
A brand-new page has no followers. Nobody sees it until you build it up, one post at a time.
It would also have doubled my work. Every week I'd be posting in two places instead of one.
And it goes against my own advice. In the honest setup, I said you need one social profile, set up right. Just one, to start.
So I started with the profile I already had.

I thought my profile was up to date
I ran my own free audit on my Facebook profile. I thought it was up to date. Boy, was I wrong.
It scored 2 out of 10. After I fixed what the audit found, it scored 6. The whole story is here.

Then came the hard part
A few days later I found out my Facebook posts were getting almost no views. Close to zero.
That's humbling. But it also answered the question.
If I can get people to see the profile I already have, why would I start over on a new page? And if I can't, a new page with no followers won't do any better.

Build a base first
Based on my own experience, build a base first.
Before you start a page, a group or a second account, get the one profile you already have right. Make sure it says who you help, that it's up to date, and that every link opens the right page.
The free audit checks it for you. It takes about 3 minutes.

Your turn
What did your profile score? Hit reply and tell me. Just the number is enough.
